The volume of transactions with precious metals on the Moscow Stock Exchange in May 2026 amounted to 295.1 billion rubles. This is 2.4 times higher than in the same period of 2025, according to the exchange's website.
The volume of gold transactions increased 2.3 times to RUB 284.5 billion and amounted to 26.5 tons (18.6 tons in swap transactions and 7.9 tons in spot transactions).
The volume of silver trading reached 9.3 billion rubles. (50.8 tons), platinum – 796 million rubles (172 kg), palladium – 574 million rubles (172 kg).
The number of transactions on the exchange's precious metals market increased by 73% in May, to 231.3 thousand.
The share of private investors in gold trading was 2.7%, silver - 48.2%, platinum - 27.5%, palladium – 37.1%.
