The volume of the monetary base of the Russian Federation in a narrow definition as of April 30, 2025 amounted to 18132.7 rubles, an increase of 90.6 billion rubles, or 0.5% compared to April 25. This was announced by the Department of External and Public Relations of the Bank of Russia.
The monetary base, in a narrow definition, includes cash issued by the Bank of Russia (taking into account balances in the cash desks of credit institutions) and balances on the accounts of mandatory reserves for funds raised by credit institutions in national currency deposited with the Bank of Russia.
