The volume of the monetary base of the Russian Federation in a narrow definition as of August 1, 2025 amounted to 18481.3 billion rubles, an increase of 16.6 billion rubles. or 0.1% compared to July 25. This was announced by the Department of External and Public Relations of the Bank of Russia.
The monetary base, in a narrow definition, includes cash issued by the Bank of Russia (taking into account balances in the cash desks of credit institutions) and balances on the accounts of mandatory reserves for funds raised by credit institutions in national currency deposited with the Bank of Russia.
