TMH Engineering has developed a non-motorized EP2DM electric train carriage with an environmentally friendly toilet complex (ECTC). A fully domestic electric train produced by the Demikhovsky Machine-Building Plant (DMZ) has been certified with innovations. This was reported by TMH.
Previously, EP2DM electric trains were equipped with toilets only in the head carriages. Now the intermediate wagons with the ECTC will be included in the composition of electric trains consisting of eight or more wagons.
In early April, the acceptance committee examined the innovations with the toilet complex. Experts have established that the EP2DM electric train with ECTK in a non-motorized carriage meets the requirements of design and technological documentation. The test results are positive.
The Commission recommended assigning the letter "A" to the documentation and starting mass production of EP2DM with a toilet complex in a non-motorized carriage. DMZ has received a certificate of compliance with the requirements of the Technical Regulations of the Customs Union. This allows for 5 years to produce trains with toilets in intermediate carriages.
