TMK presented a project for a new industrial waste landfill at the Pervouralsky Novotrubny Plant (PNTZ) using the example of an existing similar facility at the Volzhsky Pipe Plant (VTZ) in the Volgograd Region. This is stated in the company's message.

The landfill of waste of the 3rd, 4th and 5th ("moderately dangerous", "low-risk" and "practically non-dangerous", respectively) hazard classes of the VTZ was opened in 2013. It ensures complete isolation of waste from the soil, and pollutants do not enter the groundwater and atmosphere.

A double anti-filtration screen will be laid at the base of the new industrial waste landfill, which will prevent substances from entering groundwater and soil. The facility will house waste of the 4th and 5th hazard classes.

The project of the PNTZ landfill involves the construction of the first stage of five maps (sites) for waste disposal, in the future 13 maps will be built. Regular environmental impact monitoring will be carried out at the landfill in more than ten areas.

TMK is an industrial engineering company, supplier of pipe solutions, structural materials and related services. TMK shares are traded on the Moscow Stock Exchange.
