The unemployment rate among the economically active population, in accordance with the methodology of the International Labor Organization, decreased to 2.3% in October 2024 from 2.4% in September. This is evidenced by the materials of Rosstat.
The number of workers aged 15 and over in October amounted to 76.3 million people, of whom 74.6 million were classified as engaged in economic activity and 1.8 million as unemployed, meeting the ILO criteria.
The employment rate of the population aged 15 and over in October was 61.7%. Among the employed , the proportion of women reached 48.8%. The employment rate of rural residents is 56.7%, urban residents – 63.3%.
