Unigrin Energy has provided the implementation of a pilot project to install 10 low-power grid solar power plants on the roofs of the central heating points (CTP) of the city of Togliatti, owned by T Plus. This is stated in the company's message.

There is a central heating station in every city with a centralized heat supply. The task of these small power facilities is to provide houses with hot water and heat by heating water. The CTP consumes a lot of electricity year-round for the operation of equipment, while the points are connected to the grid at low voltage, and the cost of a kilowatt-hour for such facilities is on average higher than for consumers at high voltage.

To increase energy efficiency, solar power plants with a capacity of 10 to 30 kW were installed on the roofs of the TSC. The angle of inclination of the solar modules is selected taking into account the hourly electricity consumption at the TSC and ensures the most efficient use of solar modules.

The total installed capacity of solar power plants installed under the pilot project is 200 kW. The projected annual output will be 227 thousand kWh, which will increase the energy efficiency of the TSC by reducing the extraction of electricity from the grid.
