Unipro's net profit under IFRS for the first half of 2024 increased by 39.8% to RUB 21.7 billion from RUB 15.5 billion a year earlier. Revenue increased by 7.9% to 62.96 billion rubles from 58.34 billion rubles, EBITDA increased by 14.3% to 26.37 billion rubles from 23.07 billion rubles. This is stated in the company's message.
The positive dynamics is due to an increase in demand for electricity and, accordingly, an increase in electricity generation by Unipro stations in the I price zone by 4.5%. In addition, a higher level of readiness of the Berezovskaya GRES power unit No. 3 ensured an increase in payments for capacity under power supply agreements.
An additional factor in revenue growth was the receipt of increased payments under the program for the modernization of thermal power plants by unit No. 1 of Surgut GRES-2. Revenue growth was also influenced by an increase in market prices for the day ahead (RSV) and competitive power take-off (COM).
An additional driver of the growth of financial results was the results of systematic work on the collection and repayment of overdue receivables for the sale of thermal energy.
