Uralchem, Rashtriya Chemicals and Fertilizers Limited, National Fertilizers Limited and Indian Potash Limited have signed a memorandum of understanding to establish a joint venture. This is reported on the Uralchem website.
The joint venture is being created to build a carbamide production plant in the Russian Federation. The plant's capacity may reach 1.8–2 million tons of products. The basis for the joint venture will be the supply of Tolyattiazot ammonia and the financing of the project by Indian companies before the start of commercial operation.
Uralchem Group is a producer of mineral fertilizers and chemical products. The group's total production capacity is over 23 million tons. Among the key assets are the Russian companies Uralchem, Uralkali and TOAZ. The number of employees of the Uralchem Group is about 38 thousand people.
