Rosprirodnadzor, during an unscheduled inspection, found that Ust-Luga Fish Processing Plant CJSC discharged insufficiently treated wastewater into the Luga Bay of the Gulf of Finland. This is stated in the message of the service.
The company does not provide the required efficiency of the treatment facilities. The analyses revealed an excess of permissible concentrations of pollutants in the discharged wastewater in ten indicators.
The service brought the company to administrative responsibility for violating the requirements for the protection of water bodies. A letter of claim was also sent demanding compensation for damage to the Gulf of Finland in the amount of more than 4 million rubles. If the funds are not received on time, Rosprirodnadzor will go to court.
