Vantage Data Centers acquires data center campuses

Vantage Data Centers, a leading global provider of hyperscale data center campuses, Nov. 20 announced it has acquired the hyperscale data center business from Hypertec in Montreal, as it was informed by the company.

The transaction expands Vantage’s total footprint in the Province of Quebec to 81MW of IT capacity across three campuses. Vantage will immediately begin construction of a third facility to complete the campus. The Hypertec data center team has joined Vantage.

The transaction was funded with equity commitments from Digital Colony and other existing Vantage investors, as well as acquisition debt financing. Terms of the deal are not being disclosed.

This is Vantage’s third acquisition in 2020, including the purchase Etix Everywhere in February and Next Generation Data in July.
