VimpelCom has increased the area covered by the VoLTE (Voice over LTE*) technology and made it more accessible to subscribers living in St. Petersburg and Leningrad region. The service makes it possible to make voice calls over 4G/LTE networks ensuring high voice quality, no ambient noise and fast connection, the company informed.
The VoLTE technology also offers customers a number of additional advantages. For example, one can talk over the phone while simultaneously using the mobile Internet for reading mail, connecting to social networks, or further downloading video content.
