Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed a decree tightening the procedure for foreign ships entering Russian seaports. The relevant document is posted on the portal of legal acts.
According to the decree, ships coming from foreign ports can enter the seaports of the Russian Federation only with the permission of the captain of the seaport, agreed with an official of the FSB.
The Head of State instructed the FSB to identify officials to coordinate ship calls at ports.
The decree came into force on July 21, 2025, from the date of its publication.
