Russian President Vladimir Putin has instructed the Russian Government to approve a long-term plan for the development of the rare earth industry no later than November 2025. The head of state stated this at the plenary session of the Eastern Economic Forum, according to a transcript posted on the Kremlin's website.
It is necessary to carry out regular audits of such valuable components throughout the chain, including at the stage of processing and export in the form of concentrates. In addition, it is necessary to introduce advanced technologies for processing and processing ores of rare and rare-earth metals. And, of course, to stimulate demand for them inside Russia, in new industries, Vladimir Putin stressed.
The President added that mining in the Far East is expanding. For example, coal and gold production in the region has increased almost 1.7 times in 10 years.
