Russia's GDP increased by 1% in 2025. This was stated by Russian President Vladimir Putin at a meeting on economic issues, according to a transcript posted on the Kremlin's website.

"This is lower than the dynamics that were observed earlier, we know this well: in 2023 and 2024, there will be 4.1% growth and 4.3% growth," the head of state stressed. "But we also know that this slowdown was not just expected - it could even be said to have been man–made: it is related to targeted actions to reduce inflation."

If in 2024 the price increase was 9.5%, then by the end of 2025 the indicator decreased to 5.6%.

Vladimir Putin stressed the importance of moderate, predictable price dynamics for the well-being of Russian families, for the work of enterprises and organizations, for public finances, for the investment process, and for investment plans.
