VTB forecasts that cash withdrawals from Russian ATMs will decrease next year. At the same time, the share of non—cash payments has already reached a plateau - almost 9 out of 10 purchases are made with their help. This forecast was announced by VTB Board member D. at the FINOPOLIS 2025 forum.Breitenbicher, the bank said in a statement.
According to D. Breitenbicher, earlier the rate of cash withdrawals from ATMs only grew, including this year (+3%). VTB predicts that the volume of withdrawals in 2026 will decrease by about 5% to 35.7 billion rubles.
By the end of 2025, VTB customers will spend 6.3 trillion rubles. for your purchases — an increase of 50% compared to last year.
