VTB has provided guarantees and letters of credit for more than 3 trillion rubles to customers of medium and small businesses over 5 years. The development of documentary products has become one of the key factors in supporting Russian entrepreneurship, ensuring the reliability of transactions and stimulating the growth of new projects. This was stated on the eve of the WEF-2025 by Ruslan Eremenko, a member of the VTB Board, VTB said in a statement.

According to the top manager, the transition to remote product registration has become the standard in the banking market - at VTB, two thirds of guarantees are already issued online by small businesses. The technology allows you to receive an electronic express guarantee within a few hours without having to visit a bank branch. In 2025, the demand for such guarantees increased by 20% compared to last year.

The largest number of sales is accounted for by performance guarantees, which are necessary to confirm the reliability of the business when concluding contracts for the supply of goods and services.

According to VTB, the main volumes of guarantees were received by enterprises in the transport and infrastructure industries (28%), trade (18%), mechanical engineering and metalworking (13%), as well as housing and commercial construction (12%).
