Waste energy management plant to be built in Almaty

The Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Chinese company Junxin Environmental Protection (Almaty) have signed an investment agreement within the framework of a project to build an energy waste disposal plant in Almaty. This is stated in the message of the ministry.

The capacity of the enterprise will be at least 1.6 thousand tons of waste per day with the generation of 60 MW of electricity. The total amount of investments will amount to at least 145 billion tenge.

The project provides for the installation of an automated system for monitoring emissions into the environment, as well as the use of energy waste management technology.

In 2024, the company processed 3.2 million tons of household waste in China, generating 1.47 billion tons. kWh of electricity.

Hunan Junxin Environmental Protection is a private Chinese company that specializes in environmentally sound solutions in the field of solid waste management, including thermal processing, power generation and resource reuse.
