The Yuzhno-Sukhokumskaya solar power plant has received permission to be put into operation. The power plant, with a capacity of 15 megawatts, is the first large facility in the Republic of Dagestan operating on the basis of renewable energy sources. It includes 40,623 photovoltaic modules, inverter stations (DC to AC converters) 2 by 5 MW and 1 by 3.15 MW,3 power transformers of the "dry" type 0.5/6.3 kV, modern devices of the microprocessor system of relay protection and automation, the total length of cable lines is 121191 m.
