As part of the deal, Zurich expects to become one of the three largest providers of life insurance services in global markets. Earlier, Zurich entered into an agreement with the insurance company Beazley Plc to acquire assets for $10.8 billion.
In 2025, Generali attracted Bank of America Corp. to consider RedClick's strategic opportunities in order to optimize the business after several transactions against the background of interest shown by several investors.
The Irish division of RedClick, which Generali bought out as part of the acquisition of Liberty Seguros from Liberty Mutual Holding Co. for 2.3 billion euros in 2023, specializes in online operations. In 2024, Generali rebranded the division under the name RedClick, which, from the company's point of view, is one of the "top ten players" in the field of property and accident insurance with more than 250,000 customers in Ireland.
Generali aims to increase profitability by focusing on more profitable assets and expanding its activities in the field of accident insurance and real estate, as well as in the asset management segment. In particular, in 2023, the company acquired the asset management company Conning Holdings Ltd.
