Inspectors of the Glavgosstroynadzor of the Moscow region checked the construction of the PAKHRA data processing center in the Domodedovo city district, built to meet the needs of the VK brand.
The building with an area of about 5.4 thousand square meters houses unloading and unpacking areas, machine rooms, rooms for communication centers, uninterruptible power supplies and batteries. As well as ventilation chambers, an automatic gas fire extinguishing station, a transformer room and other technical rooms.
There are about 30-50 telecommunication cabinets in each of the six machine rooms. The installed capacity of one rack of equipment is 20 kW. The computing infrastructure located in the projected building of the data processing center includes modern server and communication equipment, as well as data storage systems. All this will allow you to store and manage databases.
VK's assets include social networks VKontakte and Odnoklassniki, which previously worked on leased servers.
The construction of the facility has been completed. Following the results of the audit, Glavgosstroynadzor of the Moscow region issued a conclusion on the compliance of the data center with the approved project. The developer can start preparing a package of documents for obtaining permission to put it into operation. With the commissioning of the building, about 100 jobs will be created for residents of Domodedovo.
The agreement on the development of IT infrastructure in the Moscow region between the regional government and VK was signed within the framework of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum in 2021.
