The Cosmos Selection Vnukovo Sport Hotel with 249 rooms and a multifunctional sports infrastructure has become the 10th facility in the Moscow cluster of the largest federal hotel chain Cosmos. The hotel has been welcoming its first guests since April 2026.
As part of the official opening of the multifunctional hotel complex, Dmitry Chernyshenko, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, and Maxim Reshetnikov, Minister of Economic Development, paid a working visit. They appreciated the convenience of the newly introduced hotel check–in service without presenting paper documents - using the national messenger Max. About half of the accommodation facilities in Russia have already received the technical capability to receive guests via a digital ID in Max. The active phase of testing and connecting new facilities will continue in the near future.
Alexander Biba, President of Cosmos Hotel Group, presented the possibilities of the hotel and sports infrastructure in Vnukovo: "Every year our network opens new hotel facilities in Moscow: in three years we have launched four new hotels with a total of 756 rooms, and our room stock already exceeds 3.7 thousand keys. The opening of a sports hotel with its own stadium under the management of Cosmos Hotel Group is a landmark event for the hospitality industry and the development of the hotel industry in Moscow. For us, this is not only the 10th hotel in Moscow and the first facility of our network with a well–developed sports infrastructure, but also part of our strategy to develop the network in the segment of sports tourism and wellness hotel services. It is important to note that the facility was implemented with the support of the national project "Tourism" under the program of preferential loans. Since the commissioning of the facility and the start of receiving the first guests, we have already seen steady interest and demand from tourist groups, sports organizations, transit passengers and business guests. Today, the hotel's occupancy rate already exceeds 50%, and by the end of summer it will reach 67-70%. The facility is already becoming a landmark venue for sports competitions and tournaments, combining all the necessary infrastructure for training, comfort and service for accommodation."
The 4-star Cosmos Selection Vnukovo Sport Hotel Complex is located within walking distance from Vnukovo International Airport. A key component of the hotel's sports infrastructure is its own stadium, Cosmos Arena, with a capacity of 3,000 spectators, with VIP stands, a professional commentary booth, two security checkpoints and ticket control. The sports complex also includes a multifunctional hall with a cloakroom and changing rooms, a hall for group classes, as well as a modern gym and a functional training room.
The complex sports infrastructure at the hotel will allow hosting professional and amateur competitions and championships, as well as training in various sports: from football, volleyball, table tennis, badminton, trampolining and tournaments in various types of martial arts to rhythmic gymnastics, sports dancing. The combination of hotel and sports infrastructure makes the project a unique venue for training camps of national teams, professional clubs, leagues and federations, as well as for corporate competitions, outdoor concerts and large festivals.
A friendly football match between junior teams took place at the stadium for the guests of the event, and a demonstration performance by pupils and athletes of the Moscow Rhythmic Gymnastics Federation took place in the multifunctional gym.
