According to the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Belarus and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, fines have been paid for violations of the general rules of competition in the cross-border markets of the Eurasian Economic Union.

The Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission, by a decision dated July 7, 2020, recognized the director of Assomedica LLC (Belarus) as a participant in the anti-competitive agreement Sergei Puzynya. The companies selling medical equipment, including Assomedica LLC, have agreed to implement speech processors of cochlear implantation systems manufactured by Cochlear Europe each on their own territory. Thus, consumers were deprived of the opportunity to choose a product at a better price, as well as receive warranty and post-warranty service from an expanded range of suppliers of these products.

By a decision dated November 21, 2023, the EEC Board recognized the actions of Brutes N LLC (Belarus) as an act of unfair competition. The company misled consumers about its involvement in the well-known Russian hookah PLACE chain of hookah establishments by using a trademark similar to the trademark of the Russian chain.

LLC "Brutes N" and the director of LLC "Assomedica" Sergey Puzynya were fined a total amount of over 700 thousand rubles.

On August 2, 2022, the Decision of the EEC Board recognized the actions of Metallotechnika LLC (Russia), its director Evgeny Tarasov, as well as the director of Metalloobrabotka LLC (Russia) Valeria Abrosimova as an act of unfair competition. They misled consumers regarding the nature, method and place of production, consumer properties or in relation to the manufacturer of equipment for cutting steel pipes, using the designation "Orbit" in the names, the exclusive rights to which belong to Avtogen-M LLC (Armenia).

These persons were fined a total amount of more than 800 thousand rubles.

In accordance with the legislation of the EAEU, fines for violations of competition rules are paid to the budget of the state in whose territory the business entity that committed the offense is registered.
