Belarus extends ban on labeling of imported alcoholic beverages on the territory of unfriendly countries

Belarus has extended the ban on labeling alcoholic beverages imported into our country on the territory of unfriendly countries. This is stipulated by government Decree No. 54 dated January 30, 2026, which was officially published on the National Legal Internet Portal, BelTA has learned.

The document establishes a ban on the import into the territory of Belarus of services for labeling alcoholic beverages imported into the country with national excise stamps, provided by legal entities and (or) individuals of foreign countries who commit unfriendly acts against the Republic of Belarus, its citizens and (or) organizations on the territory of such states (a special restrictive measure).

The ban applies to Australia, the member States of the European Union, Canada, Liechtenstein, Norway, New Zealand, Albania, Iceland, North Macedonia, the United Kingdom, the United States, Montenegro and Switzerland.

The resolution comes into force after its official publication and is valid until December 31, 2027 inclusive.

In April 2022, Belarus banned labeling of imported alcoholic beverages on the territory of unfriendly countries. The ban has been extended several times.
