One of the priorities of the national project "Infrastructure for Life" is to improve the quality of life of Russians. An important factor in achieving this goal is the development and modernization of the road network.

"Modern roads, bridges and overpasses create comfortable living conditions for people, open up new economic opportunities and increase the tourist attractiveness of the territories. Therefore, we pay close attention to the construction of new and modernization of existing facilities. This year, 68 facilities were put into operation under the federal project "Regional and Local Road Network" of the national project "Infrastructure for Life". These are 38 sections of roads with a total length of 207 km and 30 artificial structures with a length of more than 3 thousand square meters. In total, more than 140 facilities will be built and reconstructed by the end of the year – 340 km of roads and 5 thousand buildings. artificial structures," said the Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Marat Khusnullin.

Work on the construction and reconstruction of many road facilities is carried out during several road seasons. "In total, construction and reconstruction work was carried out at 320 sites this year. These are 185 road sections with a total length of over 900 km and 135 bridges and overpasses with a length of over 32 thousand cubic meters. Among them are those facilities that will be put into operation in the coming years. When implementing multi-year contracts, it is important to monitor each stage of work and the materials and technologies used at the facility. Constant monitoring allows timely identification and correction of even minimal deviations from the plan. This is the only way to ensure that the final goals are achieved on time," said the Minister of Transport of the Russian Federation. Andrey Nikitin.

The implementation of large-scale projects has become possible thanks to uninterrupted federal support. "Thanks to the support of the President of the country, the Government of the Russian Federation and the Ministry of Transport of Russia, we are successfully developing the transport infrastructure in the regions. And the professionalism of our road builders and bridge builders, competent work on the organization of the production process and stable financing make it possible to commission large-scale facilities ahead of schedule. This year alone, 176 billion rubles have been allocated for construction and reconstruction activities under the federal Regional and Local Road Network project, of which almost 100 billion rubles are federal funds," said the deputy head of the Federal Road Agency. Kairat Tursunbekov.

One of the largest projects in 2025 is the construction of the Yuzhno-Lytkarinskaya highway in the Moscow Region. The highway will improve transport accessibility for more than 3.5 million residents of Moscow and the Moscow region, relieve the eastern part of the MKAD and direct traffic flows bypassing Moscow from the south-east direction. As a result, it is planned to reduce the load on highways near Moscow, including the M-2 "Crimea", M-4 "Don", M-5 "Ural", A-105, Nosovikhinskoe and Kashirskoe highways.

The project provides for the construction of a 45-kilometer highway, as well as 64 artificial structures: 11 transport interchanges, 27 overpasses and 10 bridges.

This road season, the construction of four of the most significant sections with a total length of 17.2 km has been completed. The last one, from Lytkarinsky Highway to M-5 Ural, was built in October. It has 4-6 lanes, connects Vidnoye and Lytkarino with the eastern direction (without exiting the MKAD), and provides a direct exit to bypass the village of Oktyabrsky. The length of the object is 3 km. It became a continuation of the 9-kilometer stretch from Volodarsky to Lytkarinsky highway, opened in July.

This year, more than 2 thousand people and 612 units were involved in all construction sites. techniques. At the end of October, the construction readiness of the facility is 61.3%.

The construction of the Yuzhno-Lytkarinsk highway has been underway since 2022. The project is being implemented under a concession agreement involving the federal and regional budgets, as well as investor funds. It is planned to fully commission the facility in 2026.

A 10-kilometer section of the Urlu-Aspak–Karakol highway has been built in the Altai Republic. Road workers have built an earthen bed, two layers of asphalt concrete pavement, junctions, emergency exits, culverts. In addition, the ditches were reinforced, staircases and observation decks were built, and traffic management elements were installed.

The Urlu-Aspak–Karakol highway will become part of the promising Kyzyl Ozek – Alexandrovka – Urlu-Aspak –Karakol – Elekmonar route, which unites the picturesque places of the Altai Republic. It will have a positive impact on the development of tourism and ensure transport accessibility to remote villages in the region.

Previously, 5.3 km of the highway was put into operation. In 2026, it is planned to complete the construction of the section from 15 to 26 km, followed by another 6 km by 2030.

One of the most significant objects of the national project in the Republic of North Ossetia – Alania is the restored bridge over the Terek River on the 3rd km of the Nogir village bypass. It was built in 1972 and has served for over 50 years. In May 2023, an intermediate support and two spans of the bridge collapsed due to flooding, disrupting the logistics routes of cargo and passenger vehicles. Thanks to the national project, the reconstruction of the building was completed.

The length of the facility is 136.3 square meters. During the work, which started in 2024, specialists installed the bridge supports, installed the beams of the superstructures, strapped the inter–girder seams and homologated them. Two layers of asphalt concrete pavement have been laid, and horizontal road markings have been applied. In addition, the facility has equipped sidewalks, lighting, barrier fences, and landscaped entrances to the bridge from the villages of Mikhailovskoye and Nogir.

Also this year, a section of the Transkam highway has been reconstructed in the Republic of North Ossetia–Alania – Upper Zgid – Matsuta. The highway leading from Alagirsky to Digor gorge was completely destroyed by a flood in 2002, and residents of nearby villages were forced to leave their homes.

Construction and installation work was carried out for two years: the foundation of the road was built almost from scratch, and a two-layer asphalt concrete pavement was laid. Specialists have updated seven bridge structures, laid culverts under the roadway, and installed reinforced concrete water drainage trays along the route. The upper and lower retaining walls have been built, the slopes are reinforced with a special reinforced mesh – it covers an area of 38 thousand square meters and protects the road from rockfalls.

In addition, artificial lighting with a total length of 1.8 km has been installed in the settlements of Sadon, Galon and Quraitta, located along the road. Sidewalks with ramps for people with limited mobility have been built in mountainous villages, a side stone has been installed, metal railings have been installed to protect pedestrians from passing vehicles, and horizontal road markings have been applied to the roadway.

Large-scale capital-intensive work is underway not only on regional roads, but also on the urban road network. Thus, in the capital of the Chechen Republic, reconstruction of Aslanbek Sheripov Street and the bridge over the Sunzha River located on it has been completed.

Aslanbek Sheripov Street is one of the central transport arteries of Grozny, which connects the main entrance to the city from the south with its center. The length of the facility is 2.4 km. During the work, the roadway was expanded from four to six lanes, which significantly increased the capacity of the road.

The bridge located on this street is also an important element of the transport infrastructure. Its length is 72.2 square meters. During the reconstruction, the bridge builders built a new artificial structure from scratch.

The completed works will ensure comfortable and safe travel to many important facilities, including the Grozny City complex, the hotel, the Heart of Chechnya Mosque, two buildings of the Akhmat-Hadji Kadyrov Chechen State University, as well as the Grozny State Oil Technical University named after M.D. Millionshchikov, the Palace of Celebrations named after Dagun Omayev, A.S. Kadyrov Square and the medical center.
