Simferopol International Airport served 4.63 million people in 2020 which is about 500,000 people below the number of passengers served in 2019 due to the spread of COVID-19.

Moscow and St. Petersburg are traditionally the most popular flight destinations, along with Yekaterinburg, Novosibirsk and Kazan. Ural Airlines takes the lead in the number of passengers, with more than 1 million people transported to and from Crimea by its airliners. In 2020, Simferopol Airport served 32,062 scheduled departure and arrival passenger flights.
