Rosprirodnadzor has sent a request to NCSP PJSC for voluntary compensation for damage caused to the Black Sea

The Black Sea-Azov Maritime Administration of Rosprirodnadzor, as part of a planned inspection of compliance with the mandatory requirements of the current environmental legislation, conducted in 2021, found that PJSC Novorossiysk Commercial Sea Port does not take measures to clean up (clean up) the Black Sea water area from garbage. The total area of contamination was 281 m2.

In this regard, the legal entity was brought to administrative responsibility under Part 4 of Article 8.13 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation, in the form of a fine of 250 thousand rubles. At the same time, the amount of damage caused to the water body amounted to 4 million 946 thousand 366 rubles.

These circumstances were the basis for sending a request to PJSC NCSP for voluntary compensation for damage caused to a water body.
