The joint venture of RT-Design Technologies of Rostec State Corporation has launched mass production of mobile power substations. The solution based on a wheeled transport platform makes it possible to restore power supply in the shortest possible time in case of damage to stationary facilities in various latitudes — from the hot south to the cold Far North.
The company produces fully equipped substations — this is a factory solution that has been tested. The complex can be connected to the power supply system immediately after its arrival at the destination.
"Accidents at the supply centers mean hours, and sometimes even days without power supply for thousands of consumers. At the same time, repair of the transformer in case of serious damage can take weeks or months. Mobile substations can guarantee electricity supply under any circumstances, including to socially significant facilities and strategic consumers. The solution also makes it possible to provide power to consumers for the period of planned repairs and reconstructions without limiting the load. The use of these systems in Russian regions is especially relevant due to the high unmanned danger and the risk of blackouts," said Vasily Zuikov, CEO of RT—Design Technologies.
According to experts, the presence of 2 to 4 mobile substations in the region's balance sheet makes it possible to close any emergency need. The solution has high mobility and maneuverability — the substation can be installed on various types of truck trailers, including large cross-country trailers. Mobile substations support different voltage classes and can be equipped with transformers of various capacities.
