The Moscow government has awarded the Salyut production complex of the United Engine Corporation of Rostec State Corporation the status of an industrial complex. The company is recognized as one of the key companies for the engineering industry and will be eligible for regional tax benefits.

The new status will help the Salyut PC significantly reduce the tax burden and direct additional funds to the development of production and the development of new-generation products. The company produces the main components of a number of advanced aircraft engines: PD-8 for the regional Superjet aircraft, PD-14 for the medium-range MS-21, TV7-117ST-01 for the turboprop IL-114-300.

"The status of the industrial complex of the capital once again confirms that Salyut meets the highest production and economic standards. Currently, our company employs more than 9,000 people, and the team will only grow. We continue to create jobs and develop specialist training programs in cooperation with leading Moscow universities and colleges. On "Salute has its own design bureau, which develops and implements new technologies. In 2024, we became the winner of the Aircraft Manufacturer of the Year award in the Best Innovative Project nomination and the best employer for people with disabilities in the framework of the Abilimpix championship," said Alexey Gromov, head of the Salyut PC.

The largest engine building center in Moscow will be formed on the basis of the Salyut PC in 2025. The production complex is being combined with another UEC enterprise, the Chernyshev MMC. The new center will bring together the best practices of their technology schools and increase production capacity. Its creation is based on innovative methods of production system development based on continuous improvements.

The area of the new complex will be 77 thousand square meters, the number of employees will exceed 13 thousand people. In the near future, we plan to expand the production line by switching to serial production of components for new—generation aircraft engines.

The Moscow government supports the development of strategically important industries that directly affect the strengthening of the country's technological sovereignty. Today, the status of an industrial complex has been assigned to 52 Moscow factories. Among them are the leading manufacturers of food, medicines, elevator equipment, microelectronics and other products important for the city.
