Sitronics Group will equip the basin administrations of the inland waterways of the Russian Federation with software and hardware complexes developed and manufactured by the company, including twelve coastal automated radar control posts of the ship traffic control system (VTS) and two situational centers operating using the GLONASS system, which will be integrated with the system of aggregation of travel information on navigation conditions on inland waterways (GDP) and will become the basis for the creation of a national navigation management system based on the GDP of the Russian Federation. The main purpose of the system being created is to ensure the safety of navigation and the protection of human life on the GDP, as well as to increase the efficiency of navigation.

The implementation of the concluded contract is carried out within the framework of the federal project "Maintenance, development and use of the GLONASS system" of the state program "Space Activities of Russia".

"The introduction of a navigation management system on inland waterways is an important step for the development of the country's inland waterway transport system. The hardware and software supplied by us has been developed and manufactured in the Russian Federation, is included in the relevant registers of the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia, and also meets international and national industry technical requirements, which is confirmed by Certificates of approval of the type of Rosmorrechflot equipment and will ensure Russia's technological sovereignty," said Pavel, Vice President of Software Products and Solutions at Sitronics Group Dreiger.

The project will be implemented in three stages. At the first stage, the basin administrations of Rosmorrechflot will receive two situational centers operating using the GLONASS system and other global navigation satellite systems. At the second and third stages, kits will be supplied for onshore automated radar control posts of the VTS, as well as integration with the automatic information (identification) system (AIS), video surveillance systems and aggregation of travel information about navigation conditions on the GDP.

"The effective functioning and development of inland waterways is impossible without the active introduction of modern technologies into the practice of navigation and navigation management on rivers. The creation of appropriate systems for the automatic exchange of information between ships and coastal services will ensure the control of navigation, its efficiency, as well as the protection of human life and the environment," commented Andrey Tarasenko, head of Rosmorrechflot.

Sitronics Group created and registered in the Unified Register of Russian computer Programs and databases the first VTS "SiTrafik" in 2022, which successfully passed certification tests and received a Certificate of approval of the type of Rosmorrechflot equipment.  SiTrafik became the first Russian VTS implemented in Russia – the pilot project of FSUE Rosmorport and Sitronics Group to transfer the VTS of the Sochi Seaport to Russian software was supported by relevant ministries and departments (Ministry of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media of the Russian Federation, Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation) within the framework of the Industrial Competence Center (ICC) "Sea and River transport" and was included in the list of particularly significant projects by the decision of the Government Commission. In the middle of this year, a new agreement was signed between Sitronics Group and FSUE Rosmorport - for the transfer of five more vessels in the seaports of the Azov-Black Sea basin to Russian software, which became an example of successful replication of CIC projects.
