Sovcombank was the general partner of Investfunds Forum, a conference of institutional investors, which was held on May 19-20 in St. Petersburg. Ekaterina Gantseva, General Director of Sovcombank Asset Management LLC, spoke at the session "ZPIFy - Trend 2022", in which participants of the investment market assessed its potential and prospects for development in new conditions.

"We predict this year a large request from large clients to structure assets through personal funds, including in order to protect them from unfriendly actions of third parties and countries," Ekaterina Gantseva said. – We expect that there will be great demand for the possibility of direct investment in the capital of companies through the SPIF, including due to a decrease in the number of securities traded on the stock exchanges available to investors, and, of course, commercial real estate. We hope that those clients who previously did not believe in the profitability of real estate funds and did not diversify their investment portfolio with assets that do not directly correlate with the securities market will come to us. This year, it is the real estate funds that have proved their stability in the long term."

Investfunds Forum is Russia's largest independent event for institutional investors. This year the conference was held for the thirteenth time. The forum was attended by about 250 representatives of the Russian investment community - regulators and SROs, management and investment companies, NPFs, banks, insurers, brokers and endowments. The traditional topics of discussion were regulation of financial markets, prospects for the development of the pension industry, as well as investment ideas and strategies in new conditions.
