The Sistema Charitable Foundation and the Reliable Change Educational Project Foundation named the participants of the System Solution Project to support graduates of technical training areas in higher education institutions. They were representatives of 26 universities from 15 regions of Russia. Undergraduate students in a team with a supervisor from an educational organization and a mentor from an employer will have to prepare their final qualifying work on selected applied topics.
The System Solution project, organized by the Sistema Charitable Foundation and the Reliable Shift Educational Project Foundation, is part of the Elevator to the Future program implemented within the framework of the Decade of Science and Technology. It is aimed at building interaction between educational organizations and representatives of the real sector of the economy, introducing new practice-oriented approaches to education and training of qualified personnel, as well as identifying and supporting promising young professionals.
"The development of engineering education requires close cooperation with industrial partners. It is through interaction that an educational environment is created where theory and practice go hand in hand. The project of the Sistema Charitable Foundation and the Reliable Shift Foundation is important as an effective model of cooperation based on partnership, when the initiative comes from the real sector, and employers actively participate in the training of a new generation of engineers," said Olga Petrova, Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation.
"Today, the effective integration of young professionals into the professional environment requires new formats based on meaningful interaction between the future specialist, the educational organization and representatives of the real sector of the economy. It is not only about the formation of relevant professional competencies, but also about full-fledged social integration, which lays the foundation for a long-term career and personal self-realization. As part of the project, we are trying to implement just such an integrated approach, offering students to solve practice-oriented tasks in direct dialogue with future employers," said Larisa Pastukhova, President of the Sistema Charitable Foundation, corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Education.
At the qualifying stage, students of bachelor's, specialist's and master's degree programs in engineering and natural sciences in higher education institutions submitted applications in one of the five project areas: "Computer Science, computer technology, radio engineering and communication systems", which became the most popular following the application campaign (41.9% of applications), "Electrical Engineering and Thermal Power engineering", "Microelectronics and Nanotechnology", "Architecture and Construction", "Biotechnics. Chemical technologies and biotechnologies".
The selected participants were students from a number of leading universities in the country: Kazan State Energy University (the leader in the number of participants), Northeastern Federal University named after M.K. Ammosov, Smolensk State University, Siberian Federal University, National Research Moscow State University of Civil Engineering, Ufa State Petroleum Technical University, National Research Technological University "MISIS", Peter the Great Saint Petersburg Polytechnic University, Bauman Moscow State Technical University, Saint Petersburg State University, Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology, Ulyanov (Lenin) Saint Petersburg State Electrotechnical University, Dubna University, MIREA - Russian Technological University university, N. P. Ogarev Mordovian State University and others.
"The Foundation supports projects in which graduates of technical fields can, together with representatives of industrial companies-employers, carry out final qualification work on relevant applied topics. We are glad that active participants in the foundation's projects took advantage of the opportunity provided to students by the Sistema Charitable Foundation, and we hope that the strongest university graduates will be able to realize themselves in the teams of the largest enterprises," he shared Artem Korolev, Director of the Reliable Shift Charitable Foundation.
Now, together with the curator from the educational organization and the mentor from the employer, they will have to prepare final qualifying papers on the chosen topic, each of which was formulated by the industrial partners of the project – high-tech domestic companies.: MTS, Element Group of Companies, Binnopharm Group, MEDSI Group, Etalon Group, Hydrogen Energy Center, Natura Siberica, National Gas Company and ERSO Holding.
"The field of Computer Science, Computer Technology, radio engineering and communication Systems, with the support of MTS, has set a record for the number of applications. This is no coincidence: today's youth see the IT field not just as a place for a successful career, but as a space for breakthrough technological solutions that change our reality. MTS experts are always ready to share their experience with young talents – in this dialogue, the company's personnel reserve is being formed, whose representatives will move the industry and the country's economy in the coming years. At MTS, we understand this well: about a third of the company's employees are young professionals under the age of 30. We are open and ready to help them develop," said the head of the Erion Center for Social and Charitable Programs (ex. MTS digital ecosystem) Olga Yurkova.
The participants are currently coordinating the technical specifications of future research projects together with representatives of employers. During the preparation of the work, students will have the opportunity to complete an internship and a pre-graduate internship at the industrial partner's site.
The results of the "System Solution" project will be announced in the summer of 2026. The winners will be rewarded with opportunities to start a career in the partner companies of the project. In addition, the best participants, scientific supervisors and educational organizations that have actively participated in the project will receive financial support.
