The Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission has made changes to the Program for the development of interstate standards for the technical regulation "On Packaging Safety".
The program is supplemented with paragraphs providing for the development of five new interstate standards, one of which will be developed on the basis of the international ISO standard and four on the basis of the national standards of Belarus.
These standards are aimed at ensuring packaging composting requirements and assessing its biodegradability.
The Republic of Belarus has been identified as the responsible developer of interstate standards.
The decision of the EEC Board will enter into force in 30 calendar days from the date of its official publication.
