The new set of rules SP 545.1325800.2025 "Concrete and reinforced concrete structures of transport structures of tunnels and subways. Repair rules" was developed and approved by the Order of the Ministry of Construction of Russia.
"As part of the Infrastructure for Life national project, large-scale construction and renovation of the transport infrastructure are planned. In 2025, Russian regions will receive additional funding for the construction and repair of roads, as well as for the restoration of tunnels, bridges, overpasses and other artificial engineering structures. The development of a new set of rules is related to the need to ensure uniform approaches when carrying out repair and restoration work at underground transport infrastructure facilities through the use of modern technologies and materials that increase the durability of structures," said Sergey Muzychenko, Deputy Minister of Construction and Housing of the Russian Federation.
The document is based on the results of six applied scientific studies conducted from 2015 to 2022. They concerned the development of methods for restoring and strengthening soils and building structures, assessing the durability of repair compounds, as well as researching modern methods of major repairs and reconstruction of underground structures.
"The document introduces a comprehensive approach to modeling scenarios of natural and man-made impacts. Taking into account the experience of using modern technologies, materials and products, a new method of sealing expansion joints and an algorithm for selecting injection formulations based on polymer and mineral bases have been introduced. All this will make it possible to develop informed solutions and extend the inter-repair periods of facilities operation, reduce capital and operating costs during repair and restoration work," said Andrey Kopytin, Director of FAA FCSF.
The largest subways of the country – Moscow, St. Petersburg, Nizhny Novgorod and Yekaterinburg, as well as TC 418 "Road Management" and Rosavtodor participated in the preparation and approval of the document. The introduction of a new set of rules will contribute to the safe and long-term operation of underground structures, as well as the development of transport infrastructure and improving the quality of life of people.
