The Government systematically improves the efficiency of working with documents in federal ministries and departments. In 2026, each ministry and department is implementing 11 standard projects to optimize document flow.
One of the key optimization tools is artificial intelligence: the technology allows you to minimize manual data entry, reduce time for collecting reports and other routine processes.
Earlier, federal ministries and departments optimized their work processes as part of a pilot project. The first practical results were achieved.
In the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation, the volume of paper document circulation decreased by 55% — by about 175 thousand documents. This was made possible by the introduction of an IT system for automated collection of reports from educational and scientific organizations.
Since the beginning of last year, the document management optimization project has been implemented at the Government Office with the participation of all structural divisions. Key performance indicators were set for them to reduce bureaucratic procedures within the framework of routine tasks. By the end of 2025, the number of documents and approvals for optimized processes decreased by 10%, and the volume of manual data entry decreased by 47%.
Scaling up the project to federal executive authorities will further reduce the administrative burden and improve the quality of government agencies' work.
