The relevant draft resolution The Government of the Russian Federation was developed by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia and posted on the federal portal regulation.gov.ru .

The initiative provides for an extension until August 31, 2026 of the dates for conducting experiments on voluntary labeling of a number of products, which, according to current regulations of the Government of the Russian Federation, will end on February 28, 2026 (with respect to fiber-optic products, heating devices, cable and wire products, pyrotechnic products, fire extinguishing equipment, fire safety equipment, products for civil defense and protection from natural and man-made emergencies, polymer pipe products and products used for their production, components of vehicles, devices
with an internal combustion engine and self-propelled vehicles).

Extending the terms of these experiments will allow industries to prepare for the seamless introduction of mandatory labeling requirements, which are planned to be launched on September 1, 2026 (if the Government makes an appropriate decision). Of the Russian Federation).

The need to provide additional time to participants in the turnover of goods is due, among other things, to the specifics of these industries. Such a measure will help to develop the most effective and rational models for applying identification tools to goods and interacting with the labeling information system for business and the state.

The Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade will continue to assist industry participants, including consulting with the GIS MT Operator on the organization of processes and the possibility of using certain technological solutions.
