On December 6, the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission approved the Procedure for Performing customs Operations Related to changing (supplementing) the information stated in the passenger customs declaration for express cargo, which is used when declaring goods for personal use transported as express cargo.

In practice, it is often necessary to change or supplement the information stated in the customs declaration before or after the release of goods. The initiator of such changes may be both the person carrying out the customs declaration and the customs authority implementing customs control.

"The approved procedure provides for a specific algorithm of actions of the express carrier and customs officials, deadlines and cases of amendments to the declaration," said Sergey Vladimirov, Director of the Department of Customs Legislation and Law Enforcement Practice of the EEC.
The project is a logical continuation of the comprehensive work carried out by the customs unit of the Commission to improve the customs administration of express cargo and the formation of a modern legal framework on this issue.
