On August 4, on the Russian-Belarusian section of the border in the Smolensk region, Rosselkhoznadzor specialists prevented the import of pork offal weighing more than 20 tons and endocrine-enzyme raw materials weighing more than 1 ton from Belarusian production by Veles-Mit LLC, which attempted to circumvent previously imposed restrictions.
In the accompanying documents, the manufacturer indicates the primary processing complex of Veles-Mit LLC, while on the labeling labels, the manufacturer names another site of the same company. Thus, the name of the production site in the documents and on the labels did not match.
On July 28, 2026, the Rosselkhoznadzor imposed temporary restrictions on the import and transit through the Russian territory of all types of meat products from this Belarusian manufacturer due to the repeated detection of inconsistencies with the requirements of Russia and the EAEU technical regulations.
By the decision of the Rosselkhoznadzor, the cargo was returned to the adjacent territory.
