The trade turnover of marketplaces in the Moscow Region amounted to 765 billion rubles, according to the press service of the Ministry of Investments of the Moscow Region.

"The share of the Moscow region in the total turnover of electronic commerce in the country is 9%. This is 765 billion rubles by the end of last year. Given the growing influence of e-commerce in the economy, today it is extremely important that the development of such platforms proceeds within the framework of the law, so that all participants in e-commerce are protected in all aspects. Buyers from counterfeiting, partners from unlawful obligations, the labor code must work effectively in the field and financial discipline must be observed," said Ekaterina Zinovieva, Deputy Chairman of the Government and Minister of Investment, Industry and Science of the Moscow Region.

She supported the signing of the memorandum on fair practices of digital platforms, which was signed by the country's three leading marketplaces — Wildberries, Ozon and Avito, noting the industry's request for self-regulation.

At the same time, the deputy chairman recalled that the Moscow region has long supported the development of e-retail. A marketplace cost subsidy program has been in operation in the region for four years. More than 700 applicants have already received support totaling over 245 million rubles.

Now in New programs to support robot manufacturers are being launched in the Moscow region, which will also produce robots for logistics centers.

"Marketplaces have already changed the consumer market and have become one of the key drivers of logistics development. Today, about 40% of distribution centers in the Moscow region are occupied by e-commerce platforms. Another 800,000 square meters of new distribution centers for e-commerce are being built in the region right now. Robotization of these centers will ensure high efficiency of their work, as well as reduce the pressure of the personnel issue on the industry. Therefore, the robotization of such sites is the future of logistics," Ekaterina Zinovieva believes.
