Israel will facilitate the entry procedure into the country for those vaccinated with Sputnik V. The antibody test can be taken in Russia, and not upon arrival in Israel. The Israeli Ministry of Health will publish a list of accredited laboratories in the coming days.

THE GREEN CERTIFICATE CAN BE OBTAINED EVEN BEFORE DEPARTURE TO ISRAEL

Israel has taken another step towards Russian travelers. On Friday, January 28, 2022, it was decided to change the entry procedure to Israel for Russian citizens who have been vaccinated with Sputnik V.

Travelers who have been vaccinated over the past six months and have received a positive test result for the presence of antibodies made on the territory of the Russian Federation in one of the laboratories recognized by the Ministry of Health of Israel will be able to submit the necessary documents in advance on the website of the Ministry of Health and receive a green certificate even before departure to Israel, online.

WE MUST WAIT FOR THE PUBLICATION OF THE LIST OF LABORATORIES

The list of approved laboratories in the Russian Federation, the test results of which will be accepted for entry, will be published on the website of the Ministry of Health of Israel in the near future. According to the sources of the ATOR Bulletin, this will happen at the beginning of next week.

An important nuance: until the publication of the list of accredited Russian laboratories, the current conditions of entry to Israel remain. Namely, Russian travelers are required to take a serological test at Ben Gurion Airport in Israel.

After the entry into force of the updated entry protocols, Russians will have the opportunity to choose: either take an antibody test in Russia before departure to Israel, or undergo this procedure upon arrival in the country.

A STEP TOWARDS THE RESUMPTION OF AIR COMMUNICATION WITH RUSSIA

According to the Minister of Tourism of Israel Konstantin Razvozov, facilitating the entry procedure is "the first and important step towards the resumption of regular flights between Israel and Russia."

"I hope, in this regard, that Israelis will be able to come to Russia unhindered in the near future," the Israeli minister stressed.

Russia has not yet officially resumed regular flights with Israel. This state has been accepting vaccinated Russians for tourist purposes since January 9, 2022. Israel recognized"Sputnik Lite" as a booster vaccination.
