The biggest concerns and fears among entrepreneurs in 2026 are the increase in the tax burden. Nevertheless, Russian business is also suffering from traditional disasters: accidents, emergencies and natural disasters. According to the VSK Insurance House, in 2025, almost a third of appeals from companies that own property insurance policies were related to water flooding. Thefts are in second place (13%), and hitting a vehicle is in third (11%).
According to the estimates of the VSK Insurance House, fires (10%), accidents of heating, sewerage and water supply systems (8%), glass damage, storefronts and mirrors (7%), as well as unintentional errors in the operation or maintenance of commercial premises (6%).
The fewest incidents involving the property of legal entities in 2025 were registered in the Ryazan Region (2%), the Rostov Region (2.5%), and the Sverdlovsk Region (3%). Moscow holds the record for the number of insured events – the capital accounts for 38% of emergencies.
The most significant amount in the framework of property insurance for legal entities this year was received by an entrepreneur in the Samara region – more than 296 million rubles. Another example of a large payment is compensation to a businessman from the Krasnodar Territory due to a natural disaster. It amounted to 165 million rubles. In Moscow, businesses are not in danger of serious damage from the elements – the largest payment in 2025 in connection with a fire in an office building does not exceed 9 million rubles.
Among the unusual incidents, VSK analysts single out an insured event related to a lightning strike that caused a fire. The emergency occurred in the Saratov region. The payment to the injured entrepreneur amounted to more than 1.8 million rubles.
