Bashneft (part of Rosneft) invested 6.9 billion rubles in environmental protection projects in 2025. The funds were used to finance targeted environmental programs and preserve biodiversity.

The implementation of Bashneft's gas program made it possible to increase the level of useful use of associated petroleum gas to 96.1% in 2025, with a legislative standard of at least 95%.

Another important area of Bashneft's environmental activities is the pipeline reliability improvement program. Along with preventive pipe replacement, a pipeline made of composite materials was put into operation in 2025 for the first time in Bashkortostan. The use of plastic pipes instead of traditional steel pipes can significantly improve the environmental and industrial safety of pipelines, as well as the efficiency of oil transportation.

Bashneft's environmental services continuously monitor the state of the environment. In 2025, more than 168 thousand samples of air, water and soil were taken and analyzed. The company also operates two automated atmospheric air monitoring stations in the residential area of the northern part of Ufa, which ensures control of the environmental situation in the city.

Bashneft continued to implement measures to preserve biodiversity in its regions of operation. More than 323 thousand salmon and sturgeon fry were released into water bodies in Bashkortostan, Tatarstan, Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug-Yugra and Nenets Autonomous Okrug. 255 thousand pine and spruce seedlings were planted on an area of more than 73 hectares in the Republic of Bashkortostan and the Tyumen Region.

The biological treatment facilities of the Ufa Group of Oil Refineries are one of Rosneft's largest environmental projects. They provide complete purification of industrial, stormwater and household wastewater. The membrane bioreactor technology removes all impurities and microorganisms from wastewater. As a result, the water quality meets the standards required for fisheries reservoirs. In 2025, wastewater treatment plants processed more than 23 million m3 of wastewater, which allowed a 2.5-fold increase in the volume of water reused in technological processes.

Preserving the environment for future generations is an integral part of Rosneft's corporate culture. The activities of the Company's enterprises are aimed at improving the environmental friendliness of production and reducing environmental impact.
