With the support of RT-Finance Holding of Rostec State Corporation and NOVIKOM Bank, part of it, the Country for Children Charitable Foundation has opened a new Robotics group in Melitopol, Zaporizhia region. Maria Lvova-Belova, Commissioner for Children's Rights under the President of the Russian Federation, thanked the project partners for creating conditions in the new region for the development of the younger generation.
The new Robotics group works at the day care center for children with disabilities "We are together!" and is designed for pupils aged 5 to 15 years. As part of the classes, they learn the basics of design, modeling, and programming. The training takes place in an interactive form and promotes the development of engineering thinking, creativity, attention and communication skills.
Classes are organized in small subgroups, taking into account the individual characteristics of each child. A professional team of teachers works with children who are able to adapt the program to different levels of training.
The development of design and engineering skills contributes to the formation of interest in technical and IT areas, and also helps children to think about their future professional trajectory, which is especially important for children with disabilities.
The day care center for children with disabilities "We are together!" has been operating in Melitopol since 2024 on the basis of the Regional Center for Psychological, Pedagogical, Medical and Social Assistance.
Since 2023, the Commissioner for Children's Rights under the President of the Russian Federation has been implementing the strategic program "Country for Children", the purpose of which is to create a comfortable, safe environment and a culture of sensitive, caring attitude towards children. As part of the program, the Country for Children Charitable Foundation provides support in the historical regions of the Russian Federation.
