Reforestation in the 2026 season will take place in 85 regions. The total area on which the seedlings will be planted will exceed 1.3 million hectares.
"The most extensive reforestation work will take place in the Irkutsk region — 181.8 thousand hectares, in Yakutia — 158.9 thousand hectares, the Krasnoyarsk Territory — 158.6 thousand hectares, the Arkhangelsk Region — 87.9 thousand hectares, the Vologda Region — 85.6 thousand hectares," said the Minister of Natural Resources and Ecology of Russia.Alexander Kozlov.Among the regions where seedlings will be planted in 2026 are the DPR, LPR, Zaporizhia and Kherson regions. Reforestation works are carried out annually under the national project "Ecological well-being".
