BP, as the operator of the Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli (ACG) project, has started oil production on the new Azeri Central East (ACE) platform in the Azerbaijani sector of the Caspian Sea. This is stated in the company's message.
The ACE platform is the seventh oil production platform installed at the ACG field in the Caspian Sea.
ACE and its associated facilities are designed to process up to 100,000 barrels of oil per day. The project is expected to produce up to 300 million barrels over its lifetime.
BP is a multinational oil and gas company headquartered in London (England). About a third of the company's revenue comes from the United States.
