Consumer prices in Russia increased by 0.39% in March, and by 1.95% since the beginning of the year. This was reported by Rosstat.
Food prices rose by 0.17% in March, and by 2.21% since the beginning of the year. Non-food products increased in price by 0.27% (+1%) in March. Services have become more expensive by 0.83% (+2.7%).
In March, prices for carrots increased by 4.4%, tomatoes – by 4.3%, white cabbage – by 3.9%, grapes – by 2.6%. Prices decreased: cucumbers by 21.7%, lemons by 4.4%, oranges by 3.4%, bananas by 0.8%.
Mutton rose in price by 3.2%, olive oil – by 2.8%, granulated sugar - by 2.4%, yoghurts – by 1.7%, cakes, chocolates – by 1%.
Prices decreased: for chicken eggs by 2.3%, buckwheat groats – by 1.5%, frozen squid – by 0.7%, sunflower oil – by 0.5%.
In March, prices for medicines not related to VED increased by 1.1%, for medicines related to VED - by 0.9%.
Diesel fuel prices increased by 0.2%, automobile gasoline – by 0.1%. Gas motor fuel fell by 1.4%.
Prices decreased: for smartphones by 2.8%, new domestic passenger cars – by 1.7%, cars washing machines – by 1.6%, refrigerators, smart watches – by 1.1%.
