In 62 urban agglomerations in 56 regions in 2024, it is planned to introduce intelligent transport systems under the national project "Safe high-quality roads". This was stated by Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin, according to the website of the Cabinet of Ministers.
For the first time, according to the national project, smart systems will be introduced this year in the Primorsky Territory, Smolensk and Kurgan regions, the Republic of North Ossetia – Alania, as well as in Sevastopol.
With the help of intelligent transport systems, traffic flows are optimized, traffic lights are controlled, and busy or unsafe sections are determined.
