The Perekrestok trading network and the Far Eastern fish producer Russian Fishing Company (RRPC) signed an agreement on direct supplies of pollock from the Bering and Okhotsk Seas with the participation of the Agama Istra fish processing company. The parties agreed to supply 1.2 thousand tons of single-frozen pollock products produced at sea to Perekrestok by the end of 2026. This is stated in the company's message.
The first batch of wild pollock caught in the ocean specifically for the retail chain will begin to be sold in May 2024 under the new proprietary trademark "People love". Far Eastern fish will be presented on the shelves of all supermarkets of the chain in 46 Russian regions.
Its own trademark "People love" was registered by Perekrestok in 2023. It will contain the fish assortment of the retail chain of exceptional quality. The new brand was created to promote the idea of a healthy food culture.
