JSC Russian Railways Logistics has completed the audit of solutions for the design documentation for the construction of the Entrance station with the development of simulation models for JSC Mikhailovsky GOK named after A.V. Varichev (part of Metalloinvest). This is stated in the message of the JSC.

To verify the selected design solutions, the experience of developing simulation models was used. Simulation modeling allows both to create a digital twin of an existing railway facility and to verify the reliability of the developed design solutions before the construction stage.

During the execution of the work for the enterprise, first of all, a simulation model was developed in the "as is" version, showing the operation of the Loading station using the current technology. Further, several models were developed in the "as it will be" version, which made it possible to display the operation of the railway junction after the phased construction of the new Entrance marshalling yard.

In the developed simulation models, the technological processes of wagon preparation, shunting, sorting of wagons and their selection according to the necessary characteristics and directions were displayed with a high degree of detail.

The analysis of the operational indicators of the projected infrastructure based on the results of modeling allowed us to identify factors limiting the growth in the number of convoys with finished products.
