The Khamovnichesky district court of Moscow found the former heads of RSKB guilty of embezzlement of bank funds worth 1.5 billion rubles. This is stated in the press service of the Deposit Insurance Agency.
The civil claim for 1.5 billion rubles declared by the DIA in the interests of the bank has been fully satisfied. The arrests imposed on the property of the convicts have been preserved.
The theft of the bank's funds was organized by issuing non-refundable loans to legal entities.
The chairman of the Board, Alevtina Pavlova, was sentenced to 8 years in prison. Deputy Chairman of the Board Tatyana Nikitina and Head of the Legal Department Ekaterina Baranova are sentenced to 6 years in prison. The head of the credit department, Galina Likhacheva, and their accomplice, Lilia Mironova, who is not an employee of the bank, are 5 years old.
The Central Bank revoked the license from RSKB in 2015 due to the fact that the bank pursued a high-risk credit policy related to the placement of funds in low-quality assets.
